This Too Shall Pass

Van Jones and His STORMtroopers Denounced America the Night After 9/11

Van Jones, Obama acolyte and committed revolutionary Marxist, belonged to a group called STORM, short for Standing Together to Organize a Revolutionary Movement, a self described.....well. let's see exactly how they describe themselves:
STORM initially included anarchists, communists and revolutionary nationalists, but after some struggle the anarchists left and STORM become more communist-oriented.
That's our President, not only a friend of Marxists dictators at home, but employer of Marxist fanatics right here at home.

Anyway, on 9/11 STORM committed this act of revolutionary patriotism:
"Anti-Arab hostility is already reaching a fever pitch as pundits and common people alike rush to judgment that an Arab group is responsible for this tragedy," said Van Jones, national executive director of the Ella Baker Center for Human Rights. "We fear that an atmosphere is being created that will result in official and street violence against Arab men, women and children."
Well at least he cared about someone, because STORM was one of many who blamed the 9-11 attacks on the United States itself. He has a First Amendment right to his views, but we have a right to hope a President has better judgment than to put such an anti-American Left Wing radical in a position of influence in the United States government.

U.S. Out of Afghanistan

Why are we in Afghanistan?
Even though violence exploded across Iraq after, and partly because of, three elections, Afghanistan's recent elections were called "crucial." To what? They came, they went, they altered no fundamentals, all of which militate against American "success," whatever that might mean. Creation of an effective central government? Afghanistan has never had one.
That is not a reality we will change. So what should our policy be?
.....forces should be substantially reduced to serve a comprehensively revised policy: America should do only what can be done from offshore, using intelligence, drones, cruise missiles, airstrikes and small, potent Special Forces units, concentrating on the porous 1,500-mile border with Pakistan, a nation that actually matters.
Afghanistan has not evolved since the days of the "Old Testament". George Will is right. Get out.
