The Liberal Gaffe Squad Scours The Nation, Looking To Punish Speech.

The Founding Fathers probably never thought about the possibility of making an end run around the Constitution, privatizing that which had always been the prerogative of the government, telling people what they could and could not say. But modern liberals have figured out a way to do just that, privatizing censorship by trying to end the careers of anyone who makes a joke liberals don't like.

Now they have Rush Limbaugh in their sights, over a parody he has been playing pertaining to Barack Obama. Lefties have been on the march as of late, having Don Imus' head on their mantles has only whetted their appetites. Of course the same liberals defended porn king and all around scum bag Larry Flynt when he was sued for satirizing Jerry Falwell, claiming, in the most vulgar terms, that he had a long running sexual relationship with his own mother. To liberals, this was high principle at stake, defending the precious First Amendment from Neanderthal Christians with no sense of humor. Of course, if you look closely, the only free speech liberals defend these days is porn and anyone who wants to insult Christians or Southerners. Make a joke about any other group, and the liberals reverence for free speech evaporates. My understanding is that Limbaugh, whose show I do not listen to, is standing his ground. I hope this is true, because someone has to stand up to the liberal assault on the First Amendment before it is too late.
