Calling soldiers currently in harms way, and especially those who have died for their country, wasted lives, is not the kind of gaffe that goes away quickly. And this one won't. Barrack Obama seems a little to eager for the brass ring if you ask me, and his inexperience is starting to show. A large percentage of the Democratic Party needs to face the reality that we are not nearly to the point in history where we can live without a military. It might be a pleasant thought, but it is a long way off. Their inherent hostility to the military comes out in these mindless quips, and it burns them every time.
